2.1 Account Information
When you create an account through our OAuth authentication provider, we receive and store your name, email address, and a unique user identifier. We do not store your password — authentication is handled securely by our third-party OAuth provider.
2.2 Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including Bible chapters read, search queries, study notes, bookmarks, highlights, saved commentaries, reading plan progress, and prayer journal entries. This data is used to personalize your experience and provide features such as reading streaks and recently read history.
2.3 Payment Information
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. We only retain your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your account.
2.4 Contact Form Data
When you submit a message through our Contact Us form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message content. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with third parties.
2.5 Push Notification Data
If you opt in to push notifications, we store your browser push subscription endpoint to deliver daily verse notifications and other updates. You can disable notifications at any time through your browser settings or the app.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

- Personalize your Bible study experience with AI-powered commentary and recommendations
- Process payments and manage subscriptions

4. AI-Generated Content
BibleCompass uses artificial intelligence to generate Bible commentary, apologetics answers, sermon preparation materials, and other study content. Your queries and interactions with AI features may be processed by our AI service providers to generate responses. We do not use your personal study data to train AI models. AI-generated content is provided for educational and devotional purposes and should not be considered a substitute for professional theological counsel.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices. We use TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit and secure cloud infrastructure for data at rest. While we implement reasonable safeguards, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management
- Manus OAuth — Authentication and account management
- Resend — Transactional email delivery
- AI Service Providers — Bible commentary and content generation

We retain your account data and study content (notes, bookmarks, highlights, saved commentaries) for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, you retain read-only access to all your saved content on the Free plan. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate personal data
